SPARKS is a program under an agreement between the Missouri Birding Society and Missouri State Parks. Services MBS provides as part of SPARKS include volunteers regularly updating the downloadable state park bird checklists hosted through the MBS website and available to the general public here. Links to the Missouri State Parks website are provided for park visitors requesting park bird information. MBS volunteers submit eBird checklists throughout the year to develop a substantial database of bird occurrence in the parks used in habitat management decision-making . Birding Site Guides for the state parks are written and updated by MBS volunteers as part of the SPARKS agreement.
